Cavage with the French Truffle: follow the dog, discover the harvest
The dog stops. Under the earth, nothing is yet visible. The caver must release the truffle at the marked place: it is this gesture, after the work of scent, that we discover with French Truffle.
Our partner welcomes this discovery in Drôme Provençale. The Mas is in Saint-Montan, in Ardèche: the outing to the truffière and the nights at the gîte are booked separately.
At the foot of the trees
Cavage is the search and extraction of buried truffles. The dog spots the smell; the caver observes, digs and clears the harvest. Wait for his instructions before touching the ground or the nose: this is also what allows you to follow the demonstration.

Plan the outing with your partner
Discovery depends on the season, terrain and weather. To find black winter truffles, ask for the program corresponding to your dates. A visit at another time does not guarantee a harvest. The page cellaring and tasting details the service offered.
Bring closed shoes and clothing that supports the earth. Specify mobility needs and food allergies before booking the workshop. The announced tasting should not be confused with a lunch; purchasing truffles is another request.
A theme for reunion
Maxime and Guillaume present the history of their house. Their activity can give a common subject to a family meeting, without requiring everyone to already know the truffle.
At the Mas, six gîtes total exactly 25 beds on 40 hectares. After the outing, the family meets for the meal chosen in self-catering. The partner's activities are chosen and settled directly with him.
