Choosing a gîte with swimming pool in Ardèche: details of the advert
The word “swimming pool” does not say who uses the pool. Before choosing a gîte, ask if it is reserved for your accommodation, shared with other vacationers or made exclusive by renting the entire area. This difference changes your stay more than the angle of the photo.
At the Mas: shared, or reserved for your group
Our outdoor swimming pool measures 10 m to 5, with a depth of 1,10 m to 2,20 m. It opens from mid-May to September depending on the weather. In partial rental, vacationers from the different gîtes share it; in complete privatization, it is reserved for the group.
The pool page presents the framework and its rules. For a stay outside summer, do not deduct the opening from the presence of a swimming pool in the ad. Also ask if heating is really offered; at the Mas, no water temperature is promised.
With children, look at the access and the depths
Ask how the pool is accessed, which areas are deep and how the safety device works. The rules relating to private swimming pools are presented by Public Service.
At the Mas, the swimming pool is not supervised. The presence of a device does not replace the attention of an adult. Choose before swimming who supervises the children, without dividing this responsibility between everyone present.
Comfort also comes into play outside the water
Look at the shade, shutters, eating areas and housing conditions. None of the Mas's gîtes are air-conditioned; the pool is not enough to meet the need for freshness in the rooms.
A river day and a day at the domain require different organization. The first requires a route and swimming conditions to be checked. The second leaves meals and rest on site, in the spaces accessible to your formula.
Compare the total stay
Cleaning, linen, taxes and options must appear in the quote comparison. At the Mas, sheets and towels are optional, 15 € per person per stay, in rental of a gîte or in privatization. The refundable deposit remains separate from the expenses of the stay.
The six lodgings 25 combine beds exactly. Choose the accommodation based on its beds and spaces, then check access to the swimming pool for the dates and formula selected.
Practical questions
Is the Mas swimming pool heated?
The Mas does not promise a heated swimming pool or water temperature. Its opening is scheduled from mid-May to September depending on the weather. Confirm the conditions for your dates, especially at the start and end of the season.
