Brazier and pizza oven: group meals at Mas d’Eylieux
The brazier and the pizza oven are available to guests at the Mas. For a family reunion or a weekend with friends, the meal can be prepared outside, under the conditions agreed for the stay. Above all, you should avoid having one person cook for everyone without ever sitting down.
The six gîtes in Saint-Montan have exactly 25 beds. The rental is in self-catering: menus, shopping and preparation remain those of the group.
The brazier: someone cooking, others serving
Prepare the side dishes before you begin. One person follows the grid; another brings the food and drinks. Also plan the plate for those who do not eat the same thing, without improvising allergies at the time of serving.
Before turning it on, confirm the instructions, weather and local restrictions. A person must remain near the device until the end of use. Keep passageways of children and the service away from the cooking area.
Before use, consult the rules for using fire published by the prefecture and the fire risk map in Ardèche. Have Pascale clarify the instructions specific to the brazier or oven selected: starting up, equipment to use, monitoring, end of cooking, extinguishing and cleaning. Pass them on to the person who takes over; a photo of a lit fire does not constitute authorization for your stay.
The pizzas arrive in batches
A pizza party is not like a service where everyone receives their dish at the same time. Prepare the dough, sauce and toppings before baking, then share the pizzas as they come out.
You can distribute the display, the toppings and the oven, then switch roles. A table for the ingredients and another for the dishes served avoid mixing preparation and meals.
The table is chosen with the stay package
Indicate the size of the meal, the children and the equipment you wish to use. Pascale checks the spaces accessible to your rental and the organization in case of rain. The number of beds does not automatically determine the configuration of a meal.
