Markets around Saint-Montan: choose the day and prepare for the return
The Bourg-Saint-Andéol market is on Wednesday morning; that of Viviers, on Tuesday. To go shopping near the Mas, these two meetings avoid crossing the entire region. Thursday also opens up a possibility in Saint-Montan itself, at the end of the day.
The locations and times below come from the 2026 calendar of the tourist office and the Montélimar website, consulted on October 6 2026. A public holiday or an event may move the stalls: check the program for your week.

From Eylieux, Viviers and Bourg-Saint-Andéol are about ten minutes by car outside of traffic. Montélimar and Vallon require more driving: save these markets for a day already planned in their sector.
For Saint-Montan, 17:00–22:00 is the range published in the annual calendar 2026, also displayed on the official sheet of the farmers' market. Check the week's program and the useful time for your purchases before planning a late return. The annual calendar does not announce the absence of cancellations or the presence of all stands on each date.
Do the shopping before the visit
Viviers and Bourg-Saint-Andéol each deserve a stop. But cheese, meat and fish don't have to wait for the whole visit in a hot car. Separate fragile purchases from the walk, or return directly to the lodge.
In Vallon, the market can precede a slot reserved for Chauvet 2. In this case, choose what supports the rest of the day and the road. The site visit requires half a day: the food basket is not the only element of the program.
What the basket becomes at the Mas
Tell the producer when you plan to eat your purchases. A cheese for lunch and another for departure are not necessarily chosen at the same stage of maturation. For fruit, mix the ripeness so you don't have to eat it all the first night.
Our article Flavors of Ardèche describes the products to be reported. The Côtes du Vivarais complete dinner; a cellar constitutes another visit, to be prepared directly with the estate.

Save space during the week
A market does not require adding two visits and a hike. You can also enter your lodging for lunch and reserve the belvedere route another day. Our week from a single accommodation leaves less busy days between outings.
